Hycagen is a biofuels technology company located in Cambridge England, founded in 2008 with a vision for an alternative approach to the emerging biofuels sector. Although at a relatively early stage it has already shown the proof of principle of its technology and is building a patent estate. The Hycagen approach is based on a unique combination of chemistry and enzyme science to design and develop fuels with optimal properties together with low-cost manufacturing processes. The company targets diesel, gasoline and aviation fuels, and also chemical intermediates, all from sustainable renewable resources.
